Keep The Environment Clean And Help To Eradicate Dengue

 

If the environment we live in is unclean, there is a more chances of people falling ill. Having an unclean environment means you are literally inviting mosquitoes to breed. Mosquitoes breed largely in areas where there are more dirt. There are few deadly diseases, viruses that can be caused by mosquito bites. Few of those are dengue, Malaria, Yellow fever, Chikungunya, Zika virus, and Encephalitis. However, recently there has been an increase in the rate of deaths due to the dengue virus. Dengue has currently become a large threat to the society. It is spread all over the American continent, Africa and Asia. The mosquitoes that carries this virus is Aedes aegypti and Ae albopictus. The symptoms of the virus is sudden high fever and unbearable body pain. There are various causes and human activities for the dengue hemorrhage to spread. These includes dumping dirt in an unclean manner, Keeping basins, buckets , empty coconut shells, old tires, and empty flower pots in such a manner that water might store when it rains. These help the dengue mosquitoes breed as they lay eggs in clean water.

You can also keep your surroundings clean by trying to remove green waste thus preventing diseases. 

The Dengue virus cannot be detected easily. It takes minimum of three days after the infection to identify if it is dengue or not. There is also no cure for dengue. Therefore all what we can do is, take measures to prevent the virus from infecting us and also to prevent from the mosquito breeding. Always use a mosquito repellent in your house or office. These can be coils or even sprays. Anything that you are comfortable with will help. Using a mosquito net when you sleep will also help the danger of the mosquito bite to reduce. Always ensure that the doors and windows are locked before you hit bed. 

Garden maintenance in Auckland is also very important. Adding salt to flower plants will prevent the mosquito laying eggs in the flower plants. All the house dirt and empty plastic cans and tins must be disposed in a proper manner. Prevent moving in highly residential areas as much as possible. More crowd means more dirt and therefore, more mosquitoes.

You can also change the dress code when you are indulging in activities outdoors. Wearing clothes which are long, such as long sleeved shirts and long pants are highly recommended. If anyone in the house hold gets infected by the dengue virus contact your doctor immediately. And also it is advised to the others in the house who are uninfected to stay away from the infected person as if a mosquito bites the infected and stings another, there are chances of the virus spreading.
